Biography:
Jamal Sameri (b. 1981), graduate of Tehran University at music composition MA, has been learning piano since 2000. His first compositions were commissioned by producers of movies and plays.
Since academic years he has focused his practice on compositional techniques of contemporary music. His compositions are both vocal and instrumental. He received the 3rd prize at 2009 Int’l Fajr Music Festival, and 2nd prize at 2010 Iranian Youth Music Competition.
His Midnight IV was performed at 2013 Jun Hus Church by Satoshi Okamoto and Pascual MartinezForteza.
